We want to make sure you get all the dental services you need right in just one office.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Cosmetic dentistry refers to the use of many techniques and options to treat teeth that are discolored, chipped, misshapen or missing. Your cosmetic dentist can reshape your teeth, close spaces, restore worn or short teeth or alter the length of your teeth. Common procedures include bleaching, bonding, crowns, veneers and reshaping and contouring.<\/p>\n<p>To understand which procedure is right for you, the dentist will have to examine the condition of your teeth and he will also have to ask you of your desired result. In this part, you have to work closely with your dentist so that you can achieve your desired result.Once your dentist understands the end result that you want to achieve, he or she can explain to you the treatment options and plan a course of action. In deciding for the procedure your dentist will be performing on your teeth, he will ask you the following questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What will the changes look like?<\/li>\n<li>What should I expect through the course of treatment?<\/li>\n<li>What type of maintenance will be required?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What procedures are involved in cosmetic dentistry?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Veneers &#8211; Veneers are thin slices of porcelain. These are precisely made to fit over the visible surface of your front teeth, like a false fingernail fits over a nail. They are an ideal way of treating discolored or unsightly teeth, closing gaps between front teeth, or repairing chips and cracks.<\/li>\n<li>White fillings &#8211; White fillings are now a popular alternative to amalgam fillings. It is made in such a way that it looks more natural and matches to the color of your tooth. It can also be used to cover unsightly marks on the teeth similar to veneers.<\/li>\n<li>Crowns &#8211; crowns are more natural looking than veneers. These are used to cover heavily damaged teeth. It can be made of a variety of different materials, such as porcelain or porcelain bonded to gold. You can talk to your dentist about the crown that you think is best for you.<\/li>\n<li>Bridges &#8211; A bridge is used to close a gap left by a missing teeth with the use of a metal unit made of three crowns formed from a porcelain. The bridge is then cemented to the teeth either side of the gap.
