A dental veneer is a thin piece of dental material that is placed on the front surface of a tooth or teeth to mask a variety of imperfections. How is a dental veneer placed?

The process of applying veneers is simple. We begin by removing a very small amount of tooth enamel to ensure that the veneer fits properly. Next, we will clean the tooth to remove any tartar or plaque. We then dry the tooth and use an etching gel to roughen it slightly. This will allow the veneers to bond with the tooth. Finally, we apply the veneer to the tooth’s surface and secure it using a dental adhesive. We will then evaluate the bite and make sure the veneer is secure.

Do veneers hurt?

Getting a porcelain veneer is typically a pain-free procedure. In most cases, we will numb the tooth and surrounding area before removing the enamel.
